GLEN CAMPBELL has landed an OSCAR nomination for "Original Song" for "I'm Not Gonna Miss You." The powerful autobiographical track is from the CAMPBELL documentary "GLEN CAMPBELL: I'll Be Me," which features his diagnosis of ALZHEIMERS DISEASE and the farewell tour that followed the diagnosis.
Written with longtime producer and friend JULIAN RAYMOND, "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" was the final song CAMPBELL was able to record before losing his ability to sing (NET NEWS 9/8/14). CAMPBELL, 78, was moved to a special care facility in APRIL of last year (NET NEWS 4/17/14) where he continues to undergo treatment for ALZHEIMERS.
