More than 25 LOS ANGELES area radio stations will air over 3,400 PSAs in a major disaster preparedness campaign as part of the HOMELAND SECURITY ADVISORY COUNCIL's efforts to improve the region's security and response to emergencies. The PSAs will feature the idea of creating a "Family Game Plan" for the first 72 hours of emergencies.
"Radio is the number one place people look to for help and information in a crisis," said WESTWOOD ONE FOunder/Chairman NORM PATTIZ, a member of the HOMELAND SECURITY ADVISORY COUNCIL. "I applaud the SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA radio community - the nation's largest - for their quick and overwhelming response to our request for assistance in developing this campaign and for their willingness to help us reach millions of SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA listeners. Their efforts will help ensure our families and communities will remain safe and secure in times of crisis."
