WESTWOOD ONE's coverage of the SUPER BOWL this year will include a nightly hour-long preview show every night starting TODAY (1/26) and pre-game programming starting at 2p (ET) on SUNDAY (2/1) as well as the play-by-play broadcast.
The network's regular MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL team of KEVIN HARLAN and BOOMER ESIASON will once again call the action, with JAMES LOFTON and MARK MALONE back as sideline reporters, JIM GRAY as pre-game and halftime host, and SCOTT GRAHAM, ROD WOODSON, and KURT WARNER also contributing; recorded commentary from PATRIOTS quarterback TOM BRADY (who will obviously be busy that day) and CARDINALS receiver LARRY FITZGERALD will be included as well.
The syndicator will also offer "SEVEN DAYS TO SUNDAY -- THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL XLIX," hosted by GRAHAM, nightly through SATURDAY night, and three pre-game shows on SUNDAY: "SUPER BOWL PREVIEW," hosted by GRAHAM and ESIASON, at 2p; "SUPER BOWL INSIDER," with MALONE and WOODSON, at 3p; and "SUPER SUNDAY," live from UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX STADIUM in GLENDALE, AZ, at 4p.
SVP/Sports BRUCE GILBERT said, "WESTWOOD ONE SPORTS takes great pride in our partnership with the NFL, which culminates each year with the greatest event on the sports calendar. Our Executive Producer, HOWARD DENEROFF, has once again assembled a remarkable team of top-notch announcers, former players, and football experts who descriptively and dramatically paint every picture of this amazing event for all those listening around the world."
