Rolling Stone Archives To Be Accessible On Google Play

ROLLNG STONE and GOOGLE PLAY have pacted to bring years of iconic stories to the digital world where people can read them freely. For the first time ever, ROLLING STONE’s vast archives, including features by notable writers such as HUNTER S. THOMPSON, CAMERON CROWE and MATT TAIBBI will be available for free to everyone on ANDROID and iOS phones and tablets exclusively on mobile through GOOGLE PLAY NEWSSTAND, its news reader app for phones and tablets. In addition to articles from the archives, ROLLING STONE will also be releasing breaking stories as part of their daily feed of music, culture, lifestyle and political content on PLAY NEWSSTAND, and all will be available on JANUARY 30th.
ROLLNGSTONE.COM will also launch the COVERWALL, showcasing their rich history on a digital platform. Users will be able to interact with ROLLING STONE’s iconic covers and magazine archives for an immersive experience. Fans can view covers and read articles from the decades bringing notable pop culture history into the future.

Starting FRIDAY at 8a (ET), ROLLING STONE’s archives and the new ROLLING STONE NOW feed will be available on PLAY NEWSSTAND to the U.S.
