Barb Abney Exits The Current

KCMP (THE CURRENT)/MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL Triple A midday host BARB ABNEY has exited the station due to a “programming decision.”

THE CURRENT’s morning show producer and frequent late-night host JADE TITTLE will replace ABNEY in the 10a-2p slot.

"We are sad to see BARB go and we sincerely thank her for her contributions to and passion FOR THE CURRENT," according to a statement from the station.  "At the same time, we're excited for what we know JADE will bring to her new role as midday host."

ABNEY has been at the station since 2006.
