CBS RADIO Sports WIP/PHILADELPHIA will hold its annual WING BOWL at the WELLS FARGO CENTER on FRIDAY, JANUARY 30th at 6a. WING BOWL 23 features last year’s champion, MOLLY SCHUYLER, legendary WWE star MICK FOLEY, NACHO from the WAHLBURGERS, and one of the highest ranked eaters in the country, PATRICK BERTOLETTI, all competing against the field of local eaters. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES long snapper JON DORENBOS will act as the Commissioner of Wing Bowl 23.
The overall winner of Wing Bowl 23 wins a 2015 Harley-Davidson FLSTF Softail Fat Boy Motorcycle, along with $10,000 and a WING BOWL 23 Championship ring. For the first time ever, $10,000 will be given to the Overall Runner Up as well. WIP will also award two cars -- for the top Local Eater and one for the top College Eater. The Wingette of the Year walks away with $5,000 cash.
"WING BOWL has always tried to reflect the psyche of the PHILADELPHIA sports fan, and our 23rd edition will do so with even more spirit than usual," noted WIP morning host ANGELO CATALDI, who co-founded WING BOWL 23 years ago with radio partner AL MORGANTI. "Wrestling hero MICK FOLEY will inspire the crowd, anthem singer GENERALD WILSON will raise the roof, housewife MOLLY SCHUYLER will try to beat men three times her size again and N.J. Gov. CHRIS CHRISTIE’s love for the DALLAS COWBOYS will get some very special attention. Add 100 of the sexiest women in the DELAWARE VALLEY, a Mob Wife, sports legends, and the usual pomp and pageantry of our annual celebration, and you’ve got a Wing Bowl that will take its place among our most memorable.”
