Alpha Paying $8.1 Million For Free Lance-Star Radio Cluster

The price for ALPHA MEDIA's acquisition of the FREE-LANCE STAR stations in FREDERICKSBURG, VA from SANDTON CAPITAL is $8.1 million, according to the contract filed with the FCC.
ALPHA is acquiring Country WFLS, News-Talk WNTX-A-W234BS, Top 40/Rhythmic WVBX (99.3 THE VIBE), and Classic Rock WWUZ (96.9 THE ROCK)/FREDERICKSBURG, VA in the deal.
SANDTON CAPITAL won the bidding for the assets of the bankrupt FREE LANCE-STAR PUBLISHING CO. OF FREDERICKSBURG, VA at a total of credit bid of $13.9 million plus $16.3 million in cash for the radio assets as well as the FREE LANCE-STAR newspaper and printing operations; the portion allocated to radio was $6,405,056 plus $1.2 million.
In other filings with the FCC, PERCHERON GROWTH, LLC is selling Oldies KIIQ/LIMON, CO to VIC MICHAEL's KONA COAST RADIO, LLC for $50,000 plus 20% over the base price if the buyer sells the station in the future.
And WESTERN INSPIRATIONAL BROADCASTERS, INC. has requested a Silent STA for K255CE/ELKO, NV due to a cancelled lease
