ARBITRON announced that its Board of Directors has approved the payment of a quarterly cash dividend of $0.10 per common share ($0.40 per share on an annualized basis). The dividend will be paid on OCTOBER 2, 2006 to shareholders of record on SEPTEMBER 15, 2006.
