Sirius To Start Airing Classic Stern Tapes This Weekend

SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO has formally announced that "the tapes"- HOWARD STERN's unedited material from his days on terrestrial radio- will begin airing on STERN's HOWARD 100 and HOWARD 101 channels on FRIDAY (9/1), running all weekend through LABOR DAY MONDAY night at Midnight ET. Channel 101 will carry the same programming as 100, delayed for WEST COAST time. The tapes cover 20 years of programs from STERN's reign at WXRK (92.3 K-ROCK)/NEW YORK and in syndication, including celebrity interviews, prank calls, song parodies, and BILLY WEST bits. Fans are being invited to send in requests for classic bits online and via phone calls.
