Musical visionary and icon VAN MORRISON will release his brand-new album, "Duets: Re-Working The Catalogue," on RCA RECORDS, MARCH 24th. It is the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME member's 35th studio album.
On the album, MORRISON and his hand-picked collaborators recorded some of the 360 songs from his catalog. Deliberately steering away from his well-known classics, VAN enlisted some of the artists he most respects to perform, re-craft and re-imagine these songs with him. The album was recorded in his home town of BELFAST, as well as LONDON, over the last year, using a variety of musicians and new arrangements.
The first single from the album, "Real Real Gone," features MICHAEL BUBLE and is available starting today. Click here to stream.
The album, produced by VAN along with DON WAS and BOB ROCK, features performances with the late BOBBY WOMACK ("Some Peace Of Mind"), STEVE WINWOOD ("Fire In The Belly"), MARK KNOPFLER ("Irish Heartbeat"), TAJ MAHAL ("How Can A Poor Boy"), MAVIS STAPLES ("Lord, If I Ever Needed Someone"), MICHAEL BUBLE ("Real, Real Gone"), NATALIE COLE ("These Are The Days"), GEORGE BENSON ("Higher Than The World"), GREGORY PORTER ("The Eternal Kansas City"), CLARE TEAL ("Carrying A Torch"), P.J. PROBY ("Whatever Happened To P.J. Proby"), JOSS STONE ("Wild Honey"), GEORGE FAME ("Get On With The Show"), MICK HUCKNALL ("Streets Of Arklow"), CHRIS FARLOWE ("Born To Sing") and VAN's daughter SHANA ("Rough God Goes Riding").
