What's up at CLEAR CHANNEL Oldies WRIT/MILWAUKEE? Promos and liners are running for 95.7 RADIO ON DEMAND, and direct listeners to request/vote for songs by going online to www.957needshelp.com. No word on the fate of the WRIT programming staff. According to the website, the new station will emerge TUESDAY (9/5) at 6a based on the weekend voting.
SAID 95.7 PD JEFF LYNN, "We are tired of building radio stations for listeners. This is an opportunity for the listeners to tell us what they want. The music they like, what they want to win and who they want on the radio. In an on-demand, MySpace kind of world we think it’s time that someone not only asks listeners what they want, but then acts upon it."
