RIHANNA was named by SPOTIFY today as the all-time most streamed female artist in the world for the third year in a row, while LANA DEL REY is the all-time most streamed female artist among U.S. users, the platform announced in anticipation of SUNDAY's INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY..

BEYONCE is the most streamed artist all-time on the service by women in the U.S. and around the world, KATY PERRY ranks highest among men internationally, while LORDE is the most popular among males in the U.S.

Following them in the rankings were ARIANA GRANDE, NICKI MINAJ, IGGY AZALEA, MILEY CYRUS, ELLIE GOULDING and TAYLOR SWIFT.

KATE UPTON and TEGAN AND SARA have been recruited to curate playlists to mark the occsion, while another playlist series curated for WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH will celebrate influential women in music across the genres.
