Off-Air Personnel Vote To Unionize At KGO-KSFO

The off-air staff at CUMULUS News-Talk KGO-A and KSFO-A/SAN FRANCISCO unanimously voted to unionize, voting 20-0 on MARCH 11th to have SAG-AFTRA represent the new bargaining unit.  Covered are producers, board operators, web producers and other off-air personnel. On-air employees were already represented by SAG-AFTRA, as well as staff at Sports KNBR-A.

Board Operator KAREN REID said, “We’re pleased to join our on-air colleagues and unite with them for a fair contract.”  And KGO reporter SCOTT LETTIERI said, “We hope that CUMULUS hears our message. Their efforts to put profits before local radio won’t stand.”
