Longtime STEPHENS MEDIA GROUP Oldies WMSA-A/MASSENA, NY morning host SANDY COOK has returned to the air after a seven-month absence to battle illness, reports CBS affiliate WWNY-TV-FOX affiliate WNYF-CD/WATERTOWN, NY.

COOK, who has been with WMSA since 1973, was off the air since AUGUST 20th but returned on MONDAY (3/16). COOK, who was aided in his health issues by community support to help him defray the cost of treatment, said, "I cannot express nearly enough my thanks to the greater MASSENA community and really all of northern NEW YORK for helping me out."
