Clear Channel To Provide Traffic For BMWs

CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO's TOTAL TRAFFIC NETWORK will provide real-time traffic information for BMW's 2007 models without additional subscription fees. The data is being offered starting this month in 3, 5, and 6 Series cars and the X5, M5, and M6 models; the information will be included as part of the price of the navigation system when the car is purchased.

“This is a significant milestone for CLEAR CHANNEL's TOTAL TRAFFIC NETWORK as BMW is the first to supply its automotive customers with lifetime traffic information, potentially setting a new standard for terms of service with other auto manufacturers down the road,” said CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO EVP of Distribution Development JEFF LITTLEJOHN. “We consider this agreement with BMW, the leader in automotive quality and innovation, to be the biggest endorsement of our traffic network to date.”
