Radio/TV Actor, TV Station Owner John Conte Dies

Condolences to family and friends of actor and TV station founder JOHN CONTE, who died MONDAY of natural causes in RANCHO MIRAGE, CA at 90. CONTE got his start as an actor and singer on radio in the 1930s and 40s, appearing regularly on the radio version of "BURNS AND ALLEN" before becoming a BROADWAY and TV actor, followed by his founding of NBC affiliate KMIR-TV/PALM SPRINGS, which he owned from 1968 through its sale in 1999.
