CUMULUS Triple A KFOG/SAN FRANCISCO drew attention to CALIFORNIA’s chronic drought while having a bit of APRIL FOOL’s fun on KFOG IN THE MORNING TODAY (4/1).  

RENEE, NO NAME and IRISH GREG created a website to promote “Hose Across America,” encouraging online listeners from the saturated EAST COAST to grab a garden hose, get together with their neighbors and start sending some of that water back to parched CALIFORNIA.

OM/PD JIM RICHRDS said, “They took calls from Fogheads all over the country who played along with the prank, sharing stories of what they were doing to help the cause and some even sent videos to post on the fake website.  All in all it was a great success, a harmless way to highlight a serious problem.”
