WFLZ Names John Mayer New PD

iHEARTMEDIA Top 40 WFLZ/TAMPA has tapped JOHN MAYER as PD, effective MAY 1st.

“This was an extremely important position to fill.  WFLZ is the market’s leading radio station in ratings and revenue," said SVP/Programming DOUG HAMAND.  "This is a very important leadership role at iHEARTMEDIA/TAMPA and JOHN MAYER fits these needs with his fun, creative and motivational leadership skills.  He loves the industry and will make a terrific complement to the stellar Programming team we have in TAMPA.”

During his radio career MAYER has been on-air in more than 100 markets.  He previously helped program WKCI/NEW HAVEN and more recently programmed WRVW/NASHVILLE.
