Court Puts Indecency Challenge On Hold, Gives FCC 60 Day Remand

A three judge panel of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals gave the FCC a 60 day remand to reconsider four rulings of indecency and allow for responses to the broadcasters' objections. The cases included four TV shows declared by the FCC to have aired "fleeting expletives" but not fined for the incidents; the court's actions TODAY put enforcement of that portion of the indecency rules on hold while the Commission takes the time to reconsider the actions.
