FCC Chairman KEVIN MARTIN's renomination is set for a hearing before the SENATE COMMERCE COMMITTEE on TUESDAY (9/12). MARTIN's term technically expired on JUNE 30; he was renominated on APRIL 25 and is expected to be approved despite some expected opposition from Senate Democrats over ownership concentration and "ner neutrality" issues. The Committee is also expected to hear the nomination of JOHN KNEUER to run the NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION ASSOCIATION.
