FCC Nixes Appeal Of Denial Of Auction Winner's Late Down Payment Waiver Request

The FCC has rejected TED W. AUSTIN's Application for Review of its order denying a waiver of the down payment requirement for an FM construction permit at BAGGS, WY he won in FM Auction 62. 

AUSTIN missed the down payment deadline by a day; 18 months later, he applied for a waiver of the deadline, claiming that the delay was caused by his bank not processing his verbal wire transfer request because he was not physically present due to a family emergency, but the Commission said his request failed to state circumstances that would merit a waiver.
