Withdrawn FM Auction Applicant Loses Bid To Reduce Payment Obligation To FCC

The FCC has rejected BARRY P. LUNDERVILLE's Petition for Reconsideration of the denial of his request for a reduction in his payment obligation for withdrawing from his winning bid for a new FM in GROVETON, NH in FM Auction 37.  

LUNDERVILLE won the permit with a bid of $422,000, and paid $12,660 before withdrawing; under the rules, he owes $244,000 in total, and appealed the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau’s denial of his request for relief from paying the rest.
