Christian WAWZ (STAR 99.1)/NEW YORK will place 2,948 American flags in an open field on its grounds next MONDAY in tribute to every person who perished during the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Listeners will be asked to stop by the radio station on their way to work MONDAY morning to put a flag into the ground in memory of SEPTEMBER 11 victims. Morning show member DAVID A. DEIN will be broadcasting from the field which is directly across from the studios on WESTON CANAL ROAD in the SOMERSET, NJ area. The tribute will begin at 6a. Name tags will be available for the flags for listeners to remember a person they lost on that day.
“There are literally untold numbers of listeners who have been touched first hand by the tragedy of 9/11,” states PD/morning host JOHNNY STONE. “Friends, colleagues, loved ones and neighbors, they all know someone who lost their life or a loved one on that dreadful day.”
