RTDNA Announces 2015 Regional Murrow Award Winners

The RADIO TELEVISION DIGITAL NEWS ASSOCIATION (RTDNA) has released the list of regional EDWARD R. MURROW Awards for 2015, with 673 winners in 14 categories.
Big radio winners in large markets included BONNEVILLE Talk KIRO-F/SEATTLE, NORTH TEXAS PUBLIC BROADCASTING News-Talk KERA/DALLAS, UNIV. OF NORTH CAROLINA News-Talk WUNC/CHAPEL HILL, and UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-ST. LOUIS News-Talk KWMU (ST. LOUIS PUBLIC RADIO)/ST. LOUIS, with six each. Small market winners with seven MURROWs each include MARFA PUBLIC RADIO CORP. Variety KRTS (MARFA PUBLIC RADIO)/MARFA, TX, UNIV. OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM News-Talk WBHM/BIRMINGHAM, and ROGERS News-Talk CKGL-A (570NEWS)/KITCHENER, ON.
RTDNA Chair AMY TARDIF said, "When newsrooms do outstanding work to inform their audience and serve their community, it should be celebrated. Being recognized with one of journalism's most prestigious awards is one way to showcase their commitment to excellence."

The regional winners advance to the national competition, to be judged in MAY. The national awards will be handed out at a gala in NEW YORK on OCTOBER 12th. See all the winners at rtnda.org.
