WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE/TEAM WEA Dir./SOUTHEAST Promotion CHRIS WATERS has decided to leave the label after nine months. In a note to his radio contacts, WATERS said, “The past four years have been life-changing for my family and I. As a result, happiness is more important to me now than ever, and sometimes the pursuit of happiness means making changes and taking chances. I will be continuing in a promotion role as an independent rep, but I also have a desire to pursue other avenues/ideas of the fast-changing music business.”
WATERS joined WEA shortly after its launch last year (NET NEWS 7/14). Previously, he handled the same region for COLUMBIA NASHVILLE following a career in radio that included CUMULUS WSM-FM/NASHVILLE. WMN SVP/Promotion KEVIN HERRING tells ALL ACCESS the search is on for WATERS’ successor; send materials to HERRING or WEA VP/Promotion JORDAN PETTIT.
