Also, the licenses for MEADVILLE CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING INC.'s W210AR/COCHRANTON, PA and ALASKA EDUCATIONAL RADIO SYSTEM, INC.'s K287AO/HOPE, AK have been cancelled by the FCC due to a lack of response to license expiration 30-day notice letters.
And WAGENVOORD ADVERTISING GROUP INC., 50% owner of RADIO HAWAII, INC., licensee of KWAI-A/HONOULU, has filed a Petition to Deny (or, more specifically, to hold in abeyance for now) the transfer of 25% of the licensee from SAM WAGENVOORD, son of the late DAVE WAGENVOORD, to his brother BARRY WAGENVOORD for $10. The transfer, filed last month, would give BARRY WAGENVOORD 50% of the licensee; WAGENVOORD ADVERTISING GROUP, being inherited by DAVE's widow LOLA, contends that its consent is required for such a transfer and that the licensee is not currently in compliance with some state regulations, and that it is trying to work out issues with other stockholders.
