MIW Mentoring Program To Be Named After Mildred Carter

The MENTORING AND INSPIRING WOMEN IN RADIO GROUP is naming its 2007 MIW Group Mentoring Program after the late KPRS/KANSAS CITY co-founder MILDRED CARTER. Mentoring Committee Chair HEIDI RAPHAEL of GREATER MEDIA said in a press release that "we are confident that her name and her amazing story will further serve to inspire our 2007 mentees." The program is being supported by a grant from CARTER's grandson, CARTER BROADCASTING President MICHAEL L. CARTER; MILDRED CARTER died in 2003 at 89.

Three candidates will be selected as mentees for this year's CARTER program. Instructions and information are available at radiomiw.com, and recommendations for mentee candidates can be e-mailed to RAPHAEL at hraphael@greatermediadetroit.com before OCTOBER 6, 2006.
