PUNJABI RADIO USA's new radio station, KOBO (1450AM) went live todayu in YUBA CITY, CA.
PUNJABI RADIO USA current servies 10 markets from BAKERSFIELD to SEATTLE and on the Internet. The recent acquisition of KOBO makrs its expansion into the AM market for the first time.
Since its arrival in 1993 as a sub-carrer radio in the BAY AREA, PUNJABI RADIO USA has featured talk and music programming tied to the PUNJABI speaking population in the U.S.
"We're very excited about and proud of this opportunity and the important contributions it will bring to the PUNJABI community," said PUNJABI RADIO USA founder/owner BALWINDER KHALSA. "The PUNJABI people in YUBA CITY haven't had a broadcast platform like this before."
The PUNJABI-AMERICAN community in SUTTER COUNTY is one of the largest outside of INDIA, with 20.2% of the SOUTH YUMA CITY populartion made up of SOUTH ASIANS.
