Report: Health Canada Warns CKNW/Vancouver To Stop Airing Ads For Pot Dispensary

CORUS News-Talk CKNW-A/VANCOUVER has been asked by HEALTH CANADA to stop taking ads for medical marijuana clinics. 

THE PROVINCE reports that ads for dispensary EDEN MEDICINAL SOCIETY began airing six weeks ago on JUSTIN "DREX" WILCOMES' evening show, and HEALTH CANADA sent a letter dated MONDAY (6/1) to the station, copied to the CRTC and CBSC, noting that despite changes in medical marijuana laws, selling pot from storefronts is still illegal in CANADA and that advertising for the dispensaries may encourage listeners to break the law.
