George Toulas Tapped As CC/Miami-Fort Lauderdale President & Market Manager

CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO EVP Operations East Region TOM SCHURR today announced that 29-year radio veteran GEORGE TOULAS has been named Pres. and Market Manager for the company’s MIAMI/FORT LAUDERDALE cluster. Toulas will have Market Manager responsibilities for the seven Miami stations including: WHYI, WLVE, WMGE, WMIB, WIOD-A, WBGG, and WINZ-A. He will be based in MIAMI and will report to TOM SCHURR.

"Recently, former RVP/MIAMI Market Manager MIKE CRUSHAM was elevated to the position of President and Market Manager for our BOSTON cluster. MIKE’s promotion gave us an opportunity to recruit GEORGE TOULAS to CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO. GEORGE’s vast management experience will no doubt allow the MIAMI cluster to continue to flourish. I am delighted to make the announcement," said SCHURR.

TOULAS, who began his radio career in BALTIMORE, has worked for companies ranging from COX and AMERICAN MEDIA to CHANCELLOR MEDIA/AMFM. His experience has included the positions of LSM, GSM, VP/GM, RVP, SVP and EVP. While at CHANCELLOR BROADCASTING and CHANCELLOR MEDIA/AMFM, Toulas oversaw clusters in TEXAS, MINNESOTA, CALIFORNIA, OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, and FLORIDA. TOULAS was responsible for the creation and development of SALEM COMMUNICATIONS' new Contemporary Christian Music Division.
