Industry insiders receive ALL ACCESS' exclusive MEDIABASE chart recap analysis in their e-mail box every MONDAY morning. How about you? This week's data from ANTHONY ACAMPORA, Partner MUSICRUNCH/RADIOCRUNCH and MEDIABASE Charts Consultant:
In Memory Of Ria
I write this chart recap as I do every SUNDAY evening, but do so with sadness this week. I can't help but realize I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for JOEL and RIA DENVER. As we all know, RIA passed away on THURSDAY at the way too young age of 60. I first met RIA when I started working in the editorial department at RADIO & RECORDS in 1990 -- just after she and JOEL were married (and it was my first real industry job). They invited me several times to their home and always treated me like family (and continue to do so). When JOEL left R&R to start ALL ACCESS with RIA, they invited me over to their home and I saw the beginning of what would become such an industry destination. JOEL and RIA were virtually inseperable. I really cannot tell you of two people I knew who adored each other more than they did. This is why my heart breaks for the personal loss that JOEL, RIA's family, and the ALL ACCESS family are going through now as they were very close to her. Thank you RIA for your contributions to our industry and your love for JOEL. We will all miss you. -- ANTHONY ACAMPORA
