CRANSTON, RI Mayor and sometime WPRO-A/PROVIDENCE talk show host STEVE LAFFEY lost his primary challenge to incumbent Sen. LINCOLN CHAFFEE (R-RI) TUESDAY. LAFFEY presented a conservative challenge to the liberal Republican CHAFFEE but fell short by about 8%.
