Apple Music And Beats 1 Are Live

APPLE has launched its new subscription streaming service, APPLE MUSIC and BEATS 1, the much-hyped global 24/7 radio station.
Seguing from BRIAN ENO's "Ambient 1: Music For Airports," APPLE launched BEATS 1 shortly after Noon (ET)/9a (PT) with ZANE LOWE, broadcasting from LOS ANGELES, choosing SPRING KING's "City" as the first song played.
Here's the first half hour on BEATS 1:
- SPRING KING "City"
- BECK "Dreams"
- JAMIE XX "Gosh"
- SKEPTA "Shutdown"
- AC/DC "For Those About To Rock"
- HUDSON MOHAWKE "Warriors"
- PHARREL WILLIAMS "Freedom" (the first BEATS 1 exclusive, ZANE played twice)
APPLE's iOS 8.4 software update pushed out this morning beginning at 11a (ET)/8a (PT) that included the new APPLE MUSIC app. Updates will be made available for the iPHONE, iPAD, MAC OS as well as WINDOWS via iTUNES.
On it's APPLE MUSIC website, the company writes, "Tune in to BEATS 1, broadcast live from cities around the globe. ZANE LOWE and his handpicked team of renowned DJs create an eclectic mix of the latest and best in music. Or dial in to curated stations that have been totally revamped."
