Nebraska Broadcasters Assn. To Induct Marty Riemenschneider, Chuck Stevens Into Hall Of Fame

Two New HOF Inductees

THE NEBRASKA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION (NBA) will induct MARTY RIEMENSCHNEIDER and CHUCK STEVENS into the NBA HALL OF FAME. They will be inducted in a ceremony on AUGUST 11th in OMAHA during the NBA’s 81st Annual Convention.

RIEMENSCHNEIDER spent 44 years as a broadcaster. He moved to NEBRASKA in 1986 as MITCHELL BROADCASTING’s GSM for KQKQ, KLNG and KKAR in OMAHA. In 1990, he became EVP/GM for MITCHELL’s OMAHA radio stations and in 1992 was named MITCHELL’s first “group head,” overseeing all 15 of MITCHELL’s radio stations across NEBRASKA. In 2002, MARTY became Pres./Exec. Dir. of the NEBRASKA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION.

STEVENS enjoyed a 52-year career on LINCOLN radio and TV. CHUCK joined KOLN TV in 1960 as a staff announcer. He joined KLIN radio in 1966 while doing KOLN weekend sports until 1982. He left KLIN in 1972 and spent 10 years at KLMS in sales, where he started doing sports. In 1982, CHUCK joined KFOR as Sports Dir. where he would go on to air more than 2,000 play-by-play broadcasts of area high school and college football and basketball games.
