The trial of former ENTERCOM Talk KIRO-A/SEATTLE evening host MIKE WEBB on insurance fraud charges ended in a mistrial THURSDAY. The judge in the case determined that juror impartiality had been tainted when they saw or heard about WEBB being handcuffed and placed in a police cruiser at the courthouse WEDNESDAY as jurors returned from lunch. A retrial is being discussed by the prosecution and defense attorneys; WEBB is being tried for allegedly filing a fraudulent insurance claim after an accident, with investigators from GEICO claiming WEBB was not insured at the time of the accident and forged documents to make it appear that a policy bought subsequent to the accident was purchased before that date.
