CBS RADIO News KNX-A/LOS ANGELES ORANGE COUNTY Bureau Chief MIKE LANDA is calling it a career after 45 years in radio. THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER reports LANDA is, "retiring at 71. The variety of covering the county has kept him telling stories for several years after most people retire."

“As a reporter ... you get to see all kind of stuff, from disasters to politics to science. So many different things. Every day’s different,” LANDA told ANTONIE BOESSENKOOL. “It’s about storytelling,” LANDA said. "Do it well, and what the listener can imagine might be even more vivid than video."
