Hubbard Broadcasting Donates $5 Million To D.C.'s Newseum

HUBBARD BROADCASTING is donating $5 million to the WASHINGTON, D.C,-based Newseum to support programs about the FIRST AMENDMENT, according to ASSOCIATED PRESS.
The NEWSEUM, which specializes in journalism and the FIRST AMENDMENT and has been having a hard time covering its cost since opening a new building in 2008, announced the pledge YESTERDAY. NEWSEUM officials have been raising funds to support the nonprofit museum, whose finances have improved with increased attendance and revenue over the past year.
The ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA-based HUBBARD owns 14 TV stations and 48 radio stations, including News WTOP (103.5)/WASHINGTON, D.C..
With the gift, HUBBARD becomes the NEWSEUM’s 16th founding partner. with the venue renaming one of its sections the HUBBARD BROADCASTING CONCOURSE.
