NY Times Report Highlights Radio Industry's Woes, Response

The radio industry's troubles have prompted a NEW YORK TIMES report in FRIDAY's editions highlighting how time spent listening has fallen 14% in the last decade and revenue growth has stagnated. The TIMES report suggests that the unusual swiftness with which radio stocks fell on WALL STREET was due to the industry "com(ing) late to the game of focusing on viable online business models" but notes that the industry is now aggressively promoting HD RADIO and other initiatives to revitalize the terrestrial radio business.
