ALL ACCESS is saddened to report on the passing of radio promotion director-turned-music manger JULIE GILBERT-CAHILL on JULY 20th in WOODLAND HILLS, CA. She was 58 years old.

A DETROIT native, GILBERT-CAHILL was head of promotion for then-ABC-owned Rock WRIF/DETROIT. “She was a fearless, energetic promotion person who played a huge role in our success,” recalled JACOBS MEDIA Pres. FRED JACOBS, who programmed WRIF at the time.

GILBERT-CAHILL would eventually move to LOS ANGELES to work for HOWARD KAUFMAN’s HK MUSIC MANAGEMENT firm, then at PETER ASHER MANAGEMENT. She retired from the music industry in 1996.

A memorial service will be held at 2p PT on THURSDAY, JULY 30th at TEMPLE JUDEA, 5429 Lindley Ave., TARZANA, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TEMPLE JUDEA “in memory of JULIE GILBERT-CAHILL.”
