NASHVILLE SYMPHONY President/CEO ALAN VALENTINE surprised both AMY GRANT and MICHAEL W. SMITH at the opening of the new SCHERMERHORN SYMPHONY CENTER in NASHVILLE last weekend. He announced that the stage is being named the AMY GRANT PERFORMANCE PLATFORM in recognition of her generosity to the symphony over the years and that one of the SCHERMERHORN SYMPHONY CENTER STEINWAY pianos will be named in SMITH’S honor.
