Radio stations that aggressively embrace and market new technologies enhance their competitive position against other terrestrial stations, as well as competitive new technologies. That's the conclusion of a new BRIDGE RATINGS consumer study of current terrestrial radio listeners.
The study included 2000 listeners aged 12-64, and found that 42% of those interviewed said that they were listening to their favorite station more than they were a year ago. Of those, 63% claimed that their total listening experience had been enhanced by the station's website, its Internet stream, or its podcasting ability.
