CAPITOL NASHVILLE artist KEITH URBAN took to ROCKEFELLER PLAZA in NEW YORK on FRIDAY (8/7) as part of NBC-TV's "TODAY Show" TOYOTA SUMMER CONCERT SERIES (NET NEWS 8/7). During his visit, URBAN took time both before and after the show to meet EDUCATION THROUGH MUSIC (ETM) students from the BRONX, NY. The ETM middle-school students are the recipients of guitars donated by URBAN via the CMA FOUNDATION's MUSIC EDUCATION MATTERS initiative providing musical instruments and teaching support to programs serving inner-city youth.
URBAN is the first and current CMA FOUNDATION MUSIC EDUCATION MATTERS initiative Ambassador (NET NEWS 6/11) and invited the middle and elementary school students to the show taping, where they were given front row seats for URBAN's five-song set. For more information about the work being done via the CMA FOUNDATION MUSIC EDUCATION MATTERS initiative and URBAN's Ambassador contributions, visit the CMA FOUNDATION website.
