WEVX Flips To Classic Top 40

WMYE/Champaign, IL

CHAMPAIGN-URBANA RADIO GROUP flipped half of its Alternative simulcast WEVX to Classic Top 40 as WMYE "MY 95.3" at midnight (9/18). The TKO RADIO NETWORK station includes '70s era artists such as ABBA, BJ THOMAS, STEVIE WONDER, KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND, PAUL McCARTNEY & WINGS, THE TEMPTATIONS, and ELVIS.

MY 95.3 replaces WEVX, which was previously simulcasting with WEBX as "93-5/95-3 THE ROCK." WEBX now becomes "93.5 THE ROCK."

CU RADIO GROUP GM MIKE KNAR said, "THE NEW MY 95.3 will bring back the fun in local radio to CHAMPAIGN URBANA. The station will sound like a lot of the old popular AM radio stations from the 70s that everyone loved."
