If you have been following the VOLTAIR/NIELSEN controversy -- and plan on attending the NAB/RAB RADIO SHOW in ATLANTA this OCTOBER -- there are two "must attend" sessions for you.
At noon on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1st, it's "New Monitoring Capabilities for Measuring Watermark Quality." The session is described as, "Broadcasters monitor everything. Before VOLTAIR appeared, stations had no real visibility into monitoring the quality of audio watermarking. Now with new tools, broadcasters are starting to correlate watermarking quality with other metrics, gleaning new insights into their operations. Learn how some broadcasters are putting this new data to analytic use."
Presenting VOLTAIR's side is host GEOFF STEADMAN, VP/Founder of 25-SEVEN SYSTEMS, THE TELOS ALLIANCE, the parent company for VOLTAIR.
Then at 1:30p, it's NIELSEN's turn with, "NIELSEN PPM Encoding Update." That event is described as, "In JULY, NIELSEN informed clients that the audio portable people meter (PPM) critical band encoding technology (CBET) would be enhanced in the fourth quarter and that a new encoding monitor would be made available to stations in 2016. Join NIELSEN’s MATT O’GRADY and ARUN RAMASWAMY as they share further details about NIELSEN’s planned enhancements."
Presenting this are NIELSEN EVP/Managing Dir. Local Client Service, US Media MATT O’GRADY and Chief Engineer ARUN RAMASWAMY.
Make sure to get there early as these two sessions are guaranteed to be standing room only.
