Westwood One 'Real Country' Network Midday Personality Kris Wilson Exits

WESTWOOD ONE syndicated 24-Hour format REAL COUNTRY midday personality KRIS WILSON is leaving the company after 25 years. Her FRIDAY, AUGUST 19th departure comes as a result of the company’s recent integration of CUMULUS into one programming platform, a move which has led to numerous exits from WESTWOOD ONE (NET NEWS 7/22).

WILSON joined REAL COUNTRY at the format’s inception in 1989, when it was a joint venture between PHOENIX-based BUCK OWENS BROADCASTING and SATELLITE MUSIC NETWORKS. During her quarter-century with REAL COUNTRY, she also served as APD and MD at various times. Reach WILSON here.
