As first reported yesterday (NET NEWS 9/18), JOURNAL COMMUNICATIONS President DOUG KIEL has promoted TOM LAND to JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP Dir./Radio Programming. In his new corporate role, LAND will work directly with the local programming teams at Journal's radio stations to plan and execute product strategies. LAND will continue to base in OMAHA and oversee that market cluster's programming department.
KEIL said, "Time and time again, TOM has shown his ability to develop winning products and top talent in our radio group. At our OMAHA stations, TOM’s leadership has been important to our success. He understands and embraces our belief that great radio stations make a powerful connection with local audiences."
LAND said, "I'm looking forward to working with our teams to continue to build our local focus in all markets and helping them grow our business results. The JOURNAL BROADCAST GROUP is a terrific company and I am especially grateful for this opportunity."
