Florida Panthers Name Doug Plagens Radio Play-By-Play Voice

The NHL's FLORIDA PANTHERS have named DOUG PLAGENS as radio play-by-play announcer, filling the slot opened by the move of VP, Broadcasting and former PANTHERS defenseman RANDY MOLLER to the team's television broadcasts on FOX SPORTS FLORIDA as analyst. PLAGENS has been calling minor league LAKE ERIE MONSTERS and CLEVELAND GLADIATORS Arena Football for CAVALIERS OPERATING COMPANY for four years.
“We are extremely pleased and honored to welcome DOUG as our team’s new radio play-by-play broadcaster,” said PANTHERS Executive Chairman PETER LUUKKO. “DOUG is a dynamic, young and talented broadcaster who brings with him a tremendous resume and strong background in broadcasting, serving as a play-by-play announcer for several professional sports teams. He will undoubtedly be a valuable asset for our organization serving as a both a spokesperson and ambassador for the PANTHERS brand in SOUTH FLORIDA.”
