Is DAN LEBATARD (with JON "STUGOTZ" WEINER in tow) moving from afternoons to COLIN COWHERD's old 10a-1p (ET) weekday slot on ESPN RADIO? The MIAMI HERALD's GREG COTE, who is a regular on LEBATARD's radio show, is reporting that while the move isn't official and "barring a last-minute snag," LEBATARD is "planning a move" to the earlier slot.
LEBATARD's show presently airs 4-7p on the network and has a local 3-4p hour on ENTERCOM Sports WAXY-A-F (104.3 THE TICKET)/MIAMI, which COTE reports will continue to air the show. COTE also suggests that morning contributor and ESPN MIAMI HEAT beat reporter IZZY GUTIERREZ and midday regular and soon-to-be-ex-BLEACHER REPORT writer ETHAN SKOLNICK will take over afternoons, although he does not indicate what might happen to THE TICKET's present 10a-1p show with CHRIS WITTYNGHAM and JOSH FRIEDMAN or the 1-3p show with ERIC REED and LEROY HOARD, nor does the report indicate what will become of LEBATARD and STUGOTZ' simulcast on FUSION television.
