Condolences to family and friends of SINCLAIR News KOMO-A-F/SEATTLE afternoon co-anchor JANE SHANNON, who passed away unexpectedly THURSDAY (8/20).

SHANNON started her career at KITI/CENTRALIA, WA, then moved to TACOMA at KTNT-A and KNBQ, leaving the market for a TV job at KRGV-TV/WESLACO-BROWNSVILLE, TX, where she spent 5 years before returning to WASHINGTON at KXXO/OLYMPIA.

After working at the old KING-A/SEATTLE, SHANNON enjoyed a long, over-16-years run as morning co-host with GREGG HERSHOLT (now KOMO morning co-anchor) at KIRO-A/SEATTLE; she joined KOMO in 2010.
