SONS OF N.W.A., featuring DR. DRE"s son CURTIS YOUNG and the two sons of EAZY-E, LIL EAZY-E and E3, have produced a new track, an EDM remix of "Straight Outta Compton," with former DEATH ROW RECORDS artists DAZ DILLINGER and KURUPT. The track will be released on SERIOUS PIMP RECORDS, according to the label's Pres./CEO DAMIAN KUTZNER, who calls the track the latest example of its Gangster House Music (G-House) movement.
The track, which is available at iTUNES, was recorded at SNOOP DOGG's DOGGYSTYLE STUDIO in ORANGE COUNTY with producer BATTLECAT.
"It feels like a big hug when I walk in here," said YOUNG, whose father ANDRE "DR. DRE" was one of the moving forces behind the successful "Straight Outta Compton" biopic, which topped the box office tallies in its first week of release. "Like [SNOOP's] always watching me."
“SONS OF NWA’s new remix is a fantastic cut and demonstrates SERIOUS PIMP RECORDS’ dedication to bringing the best new music, events and releases from leading WESGT COAST gangsta rap, EDM and G House artists to a worldwide audience,” said KUTZNER.
SONS OF NWA’s “Straight Outta Compton” EDM Remix was recorded for release as a single and is planned to be featured in “Westside Gangsta House,” the upcoming album planned for release later this year by SERIOUS PIMP RECORDS.
"I respect the fact that DAMIAN respected the lineage of my father and CURTIS' father when he came to us with this," said LIL EAZY E. "It's about keeping people aware of where the legacy of this music started and, as his son, to keep his music going with this new genre of music called Gangster House (G House)."
Added KUTZNER: “SERIOUS PIMP RECORDS is the cutting edge of the G House movement. Our roots are the original OG’s of gangster music, the great artists who started gangster rap like NWA, SNOOP DOGG, THA DOG POUND, DPG, WARREN G, TOO SHORT, E40 Tha Dogg Pound, DPG, Warren G, Too Short, E40 -- all of them from our backyard here in CALIFORNIA. Our music is unique because it has the style and feel of the original West Coast gangsta artists channeled through the creativity of today’s top hip-hop artists.”
